    Questions

How long should a YouTube title be?

Up to 100 characters are allowed, but feeds show about 50–70. Aim for under 60 so nothing important is cut.

Should the keyword be at the start?

Near the start helps both search and skimming viewers. It doesn’t have to be the first word.

Does the title matter more than the thumbnail?

They work as a pair: the thumbnail grabs attention, the title confirms the promise. Test them together in the thumbnail preview.
