Questions

What should go first in a YouTube description?

One or two sentences about what the viewer gets, with your main keyword. About the first 100–150 characters show before “more”.

How long can a description be?

Up to 5,000 characters. Most good descriptions use 200–1,000.

How many hashtags should I use?

Three to five. The first three can appear above your title; more than 15 and YouTube ignores them all.
